Good question. Let me begin by stating that Alpha Direct Agency is anything but your regular neighborhood Insurance Agents. Founded by an African/minority business owner Emmanuel Osuyah, the company continues to defy possibility stereotypes. We are a reflection of the real diverse and dynamic world around us.
Every year we set incredible goals, higher than most people will dare. The goals require us to stretch above and beyond our comfort zones; the same way we continuously raise the "expectations bar" of professionalism and service we promise to our customers. "Look no further than the rave reviews our customers post online to tell the story, my team is far from all fun and games.'' says the company's founder.
Growth goals are assigned to each Agent with a sales-trip-reward for qualifiers. The Dubai destination was originally set for the previous year but was shelved for the 2021 sales period due to the covid19 pandemic travel restrictions. To qualify for said trips, team members must meet set parameters and monthly-measured KPIs (key performance indicators).
Two years later, rescheduled flights and activities, many PCR tests, self quarantines, and 12 to 14 hour overnight flights later, we arrived in the dream city of Dubai. The 4-day stay gave us many memorable activities including dress ups, city tours, desert and boat rides, elaborate dining and a religious crash course. The overstated, futuristic yet historic, cultural and religiously-diverse experience made the 9-hour time zone adjustment worth all the trouble.
Our trip was capped at the #2020 Dubai Expo; (named after its originally scheduled 2020 commencement date). This global event is an excellent opportunity for businesses and professionals to learn tips and techniques to be future ready for our expanding global business landscape. With 200 participating countries hosting guests in their individual pavilions, the world expo is built as the #1 business event on the globe. Previous world expos have been the launch pad of many advancements - the Television (1939), the Eiffel tower (1889), the telephone (1876) and tomato ketchup (1876) to mention a few.
This year's Expo event is insured by Orient Insurance, a UAE (United Arab Emirates) based insurer. Our visit marks another step in the direction of our audacious goal of becoming an International Insurance Agency.
